TripJack API integration

TripJack API integration: GDS and LCC fares without your own IATA

TripJack is an Indian B2B travel platform that gives registered agents access to full-service airline and low-cost carrier content, plus hotels, through one agent account. We integrate the TripJack flight API and hotel API into booking websites, B2B portals and campaign landing sites, so the inventory you already buy through TripJack sells under your own brand, at your own markups.

What TripJack is

TripJack is a business-to-business travel platform from India that consolidates air and hotel inventory for its registered agent network. Agents book through TripJack's own portal by default; the API exposes the same content programmatically, which is what makes your own booking website possible. In practice that means domestic and international flights, including low-cost carriers that never appear in a classic GDS screen, and hotel content, all billed through the single TripJack account you already settle.

For an agency that wants online sales but does not hold IATA accreditation, this is the shortest credible route: TripJack carries the airline relationships and ticketing capability, and your website becomes the storefront. The general engineering pattern is described on our flight API integration page; below is what is specific to a TripJack build.

What access requires

Everything starts with your own commercial relationship with TripJack. You register as their agent, complete their onboarding and ask for API access; TripJack decides what to enable and on what terms. We come in once credentials exist, or in parallel while you wait, since scoping and design do not need live keys. Expect the usual consolidator pattern: a test environment first, a certification pass on your booking flow, then production keys, with bookings funded from your agency balance or credit line. [TO CONFIRM: TripJack's current API onboarding steps for your account type]

We are a technology vendor only. We do not provide TripJack accounts, we do not resell their inventory and we have no say in their commercial terms.

What we build on the TripJack API

  • Flight search with fare families, baggage and refundability visible before selection, across full-service and LCC results
  • Review and re-validation so the fare shown is re-priced immediately before payment, which is where careless integrations lose money
  • Booking and ticketing with passenger details, SSRs and PNR write-back into your own database, not just TripJack's records
  • Hotel search and booking where your account includes hotel content, with cancellation policies shown before confirmation
  • Cancellation and amendment requests raised from your admin panel, with refund status tracked to closure
  • Markup and convenience-fee rules by route, carrier type or customer group, applied server-side so they cannot be bypassed

The destination for these flows is up to you: a consumer site with your payment gateway, a B2B portal where sub-agents hold wallets and book under your rates, or a packaged flight booking whitelabel when speed to launch matters more than custom design. If you already run a website, the API can be added to it rather than rebuilding from zero.

Why LCC content changes the build

A large share of Indian domestic capacity flies on low-cost carriers, and LCC bookings behave differently from GDS bookings: fares are held for less time, ancillaries like baggage and seats are sold as add-ons, and post-booking changes follow airline-specific rules. A TripJack integration done properly treats these as first-class cases, holding the traveller's selection, pricing ancillaries honestly and failing gracefully when a fare disappears mid-checkout. We design the checkout around these realities rather than pretending every airline behaves like a GDS carrier; the same discipline applies to any flight booking engine we build.

TripJack or TBO?

Agencies ask us this constantly, and the honest answer is that both are established Indian consolidator platforms with agent networks in the tens of thousands, and the right choice is account-specific, not brand-specific. The differences that actually matter are the ones on your own quote sheets:

How to compare TripJack and TBO for your agency
Question to compare onWhy it matters
Net fares and incentives on the routes you actually sellHeadline coverage numbers are irrelevant if your top ten routes price better on the other platform
Deposit and credit terms offered to your agencyThis sets how much working capital your online sales will consume
Modules enabled for API use on your accountPortal access and API access are not the same; confirm air, hotel and ancillaries separately
Support responsiveness for stuck bookingsWhen a ticket fails at midnight, the supplier's service desk is part of your product
Certification effort and API maturity for your use caseAsk each platform what their current integration process looks like for an agency your size

Technically, we integrate both, and a growing number of portals run both at once and let the engine pick the better fare per search. If you are undecided, book a scoping call: we will look at your routes, volumes and terms and tell you which order to integrate them in, including the option of starting with one and adding the second later. See also our TBO API integration page for that platform's specifics.

Process and what affects the timeline

  1. Scoping call

Routes, volumes, product type and what your TripJack account has enabled. Written scope and fixed quote follow.

  2. Design and sandbox build

Search, checkout and admin flows built against the test environment while your production access is processed.

  3. Certification and controlled launch

Supplier-side checks completed, production keys switched in, and a set of monitored live bookings before full traffic.

  4. Support

Monitoring, API-change maintenance and booking investigations under an optional monthly plan.

Timeline is driven less by code and more by three things: how quickly TripJack enables your API access, whether hotels ship in phase one or later, and whether we are extending an existing site or building a new portal. Each of those is stated explicitly in the scope so the schedule has no hidden supplier-side waiting time.

Trademark and independence note

TripJack is a trademark of its owner. Globitude Travels & Tech is an independent integrator: we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or in partnership with TripJack, and we do not sell TripJack access or inventory. Platform descriptions here come from public information and integration experience; verify current products and terms with TripJack directly before making commercial decisions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I integrate the TripJack API without IATA accreditation?

Yes. TripJack is a consolidator platform: it holds the airline relationships and ticketing capability, and you transact through your registered agent account. Your obligations are to TripJack's terms and to the consumer laws of the markets you sell in.

Do you supply TripJack API credentials or accounts?

No. Only TripJack can register your agency and enable API access. We tell you exactly what to request so onboarding is not delayed, and we build against the test environment while production access is being processed.

Does the TripJack API cover hotels as well as flights?

TripJack distributes hotel content alongside air, but what your API account can access depends on what TripJack enables for you. We audit your credentials at the start of the project and scope flight-only or flight-plus-hotel accordingly.

Can my website use TripJack and TBO together?

Yes. A multi-supplier engine searches both, normalises the results and applies your markup rules to whichever source wins on each itinerary. It costs more than a single integration, so we usually recommend starting with one supplier and adding the second when volumes justify it.

Who handles refunds and cancellations after go-live?

The workflow we build lets your team raise cancellations and track refunds from your admin panel, but the refund itself follows TripJack's and the airline's rules and timelines. Your customer-facing refund policy should mirror those rules honestly, and we help you word it that way.
