TBO API integration

TBO API integration for your travel portal or booking website

Travel Boutique Online (TBO) is one of the largest B2B travel distribution platforms used by Indian agencies, and its API puts that flight and hotel inventory inside your own website instead of a shared agent screen. We are an independent development company: you bring your TBO agency account, we build the portal, booking engine or campaign site around it, with your markups, your brand and your tracking.

What is TBO, and why do agents integrate its API?

Travel Boutique Online, now operating globally as TBO, is an Indian-origin B2B travel platform that aggregates flights, hotels and ancillary products and distributes them to registered travel agents. Agents normally sell through TBO's own agent portal; the API takes the same inventory and lets you sell it through software you control: a consumer booking website, a B2B sub-agent portal or a flight campaign landing site that shows live fares.

The commercial appeal is simple. A retail agency without its own IATA accreditation cannot issue airline tickets directly, and a full GDS contract is overkill for many businesses. A consolidator platform like TBO sits in the middle: it holds the airline and hotel relationships, and you transact through your agency account. Our flight API integration service covers the engineering pattern in general; this page covers what is specific to TBO.

What you need before we can start

  • A TBO agency registration. You sign up with TBO directly, complete their verification and accept their terms. We do not resell TBO access and cannot register on your behalf.
  • API credentials for the modules you want. Portal login and API access are separate; ask your TBO relationship contact to enable API access for air, hotel or both. [TO CONFIRM: current TBO process for issuing API credentials to your account]
  • Test and production environments. Suppliers typically certify your booking flow on a test system before allowing live ticketing.
  • A funded account. Consolidator bookings draw on your agency balance or agreed credit terms, so the account needs money in it before live tickets can be issued.

None of this requires IATA accreditation, which is exactly why consolidator APIs are the standard route for independent Indian agencies moving from offline sales to their own booking website.

What we integrate

Flight search and fare rules

One-way, return and multi-city searches across the full response, with fare families, baggage and refundability shown before the traveller commits.

Booking and ticketing

Fare re-validation, passenger and SSR capture, hold-and-confirm where the fare allows it, and ticket issuance with PNR details written back to your database.

Hotel search and booking

City and hotel-level search, room and rate mapping, cancellation policy display and voucher generation from the hotel modules your account has enabled.

Cancellations and amendments

Online cancellation requests, refund status tracking and a service queue for changes that need TBO's offline desk.

Markups and pricing rules

Flat or percentage markups by route, cabin, supplier or customer group, plus convenience fees, applied before the price is ever shown.

Balance visibility

Your available TBO balance surfaced in your admin panel, with low-balance alerts so bookings do not fail at the payment step.

These flows can land in whatever product you are building: a B2C website, a B2B travel portal where your sub-agents book on their own logins, or a white-label flight booking site that gets you live quickly and is extended later.

How the money side works

TBO, like most consolidators, operates on a deposit or credit model: your agency account is funded in advance or given a credit limit, and each ticket or hotel voucher draws the net fare from that balance. Your customer, meanwhile, pays you, on your website through your own payment gateway, at your marked-up price. The difference is your margin.

We build the plumbing for both sides: gateway integration and reconciliation on the customer side, balance checks and booking-level accounting on the supplier side. We never touch your funds and we do not take a cut of bookings; we are paid for development and support only. Exact deposit amounts, credit terms and incentive structures are between you and TBO. [TO CONFIRM: your commercial terms with TBO before we design the pricing logic]

Which TBO products can be connected

TBO modules and typical uses

What your account can actually access depends on your agreement with TBO, so the first step of every project is a credentials audit: we list what is enabled, what responds in test, and what needs a request to TBO before build starts.

Integration process

  1. Scope and credentials audit

We review your TBO account, the modules enabled, your markup rules and the product you want to build. You get a written scope and fixed quote.

  2. Sandbox build

Search, booking and cancellation flows developed and tested against TBO's test environment, with caching and error handling from day one.

  3. Certification and go-live

We complete any supplier-side certification checks, switch to production credentials and run controlled live bookings before opening to real traffic.

  4. Monitoring and support

Response-time and failure-rate monitoring, plus support when the API changes or bookings need investigation.

What affects the timeline

The build itself is the predictable part. The variables are how quickly TBO enables API access on your account, how many modules you want in the first release, and whether you are adding TBO to an existing website or launching a new portal around it. A single-module integration into an existing site is a materially smaller job than a new multi-supplier portal with sub-agent logins. We give a delivery window in the written scope once those choices are made, and we flag supplier-side waiting time separately so it is never hidden inside our estimate.

Independence and trademarks

TBO and Travel Boutique Online are trademarks of their respective owner. Globitude Travels & Tech is an independent software development company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with TBO, we do not resell TBO inventory, and nothing on this page is an offer of TBO products. Descriptions of TBO's platform are based on publicly available information and our integration experience; confirm current capabilities and commercial terms with TBO directly.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need IATA accreditation to use the TBO API?

No. That is the point of a consolidator: TBO holds the supplier relationships and you transact through your registered agency account. You do need to complete TBO's own agency registration and verification, and you remain responsible for selling lawfully in your market.

Can you get me TBO API credentials?

No. Credentials come only from TBO after you register as their agent and they enable API access on your account. We can tell you what to ask for so the request is right the first time, and we start build against the test environment as soon as access arrives.

Can I use the TBO flight API on a Google Ads campaign site?

Yes. Live fares from your TBO account can power a flight campaign website, with the search on your landing page and booking completed on-site or by phone. The site must still meet ad policy: clear agency identity, honest fees and no airline impersonation.

Does one integration cover both flights and hotels?

They are separate modules with separate flows, but one project can cover both if your account has both enabled. Many agencies launch with air only and add hotel content in a second phase once the flight business is stable.

What happens when the TBO API changes or a booking fails?

Our builds log every request and response, retry transient failures safely and alert on error-rate spikes. Under a support plan we apply supplier-side API changes and investigate stuck bookings with you; without one we hand over documentation so your own team can.
