Editorial policy
The guides on flightcampaign.com are meant to be the page you wish existed when you were trying to work out how metasearch, travel APIs or flight ad policies actually work. This policy explains how they are researched, who writes them, how they are reviewed and updated, and how to report a mistake.
Last updated: 23 August 2026
How guides are researched
We start from primary sources. For advertising rules that means the platform's own policy centre, such as Google Ads Help. For supplier facts it means the supplier's developer documentation, programme pages and help centres, for example the public documentation of Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport or an affiliate network. For registration, licensing and tax questions it means the official portal of the relevant government body. Trade bodies such as IATA are cited for industry-wide definitions and programmes.
Secondary sources (news articles, other blogs, forum posts) may point us to a topic but are not used as the basis for a factual claim. Where a rule or figure cannot be verified against a primary source, we say so in the text or phrase the point generally rather than stating a number.
We name the source in the text wherever we state a rule, figure or programme term, so you can check it and so the reference survives if the page is quoted elsewhere.
Who writes them
Guides are written by practitioners at Globitude Travels & Tech: people who build flight search engines, connect supplier APIs, set up booking portals and run or audit flight advertising campaigns as their day job. Where a guide covers something we have not done ourselves, we say so and rely more heavily on cited sources.
Author information: [TO CONFIRM: named author(s) with role, years of experience and credentials, to appear in the author box on each guide and on the about page.] Until named authors are confirmed, guides are attributed to the Globitude Travels & Tech editorial team.
Review before publishing
Every guide is read by a second person before it goes live. The reviewer checks that claims match their sources, that terminology is used correctly, that the compliance stance is right (in particular, that nothing encourages impersonating airlines or misleading travellers), and that the page answers the question in its title without padding. A guide that does not pass is revised, not published with caveats.
Dating and updating
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We revisit guides when a platform or supplier changes a policy we cite, when a reader reports a problem, and on a periodic review of older pages. Material changes are made in the text, not hidden in a changelog; the updated date moves when the content changes, not when only formatting does. Guides that are no longer accurate and cannot be updated are removed or redirected rather than left to mislead.
Corrections
If you find an error, an out-of-date rule or a broken source link, email info@flightcampaign.com with the page address and what you believe is wrong. We check the primary source, correct the page if needed, and reply to tell you what we changed. Substantive corrections are noted at the point in the text where they were made.
What we do not do
- No paid placements disguised as editorial. We do not accept payment, free services or other consideration to mention, rank or recommend a supplier, tool or programme in a guide. If we ever publish sponsored content it will be labelled as such at the top of the page.
- No invented statistics, quotes or testimonials. Figures appear only with a named source or as clearly marked worked examples. We do not publish client names, case-study numbers or testimonials unless the client has approved them in writing.
- No AI-generated filler. We may use software tools to help with drafting, outlining or checking grammar, but every guide is planned, fact-checked and edited by a person with hands-on experience of the subject before publication. Nothing is published without that review.
- No keyword stuffing or pages written only for search engines. Guides are written to answer a real question for a travel business owner. If a topic does not justify a full guide, we do not write one.
- No advice we are not qualified to give. Guides are general information. Legal, tax and licensing points are signposted to the relevant official source and to professional advisers.
Advertising separation
Guide pages may carry third-party advertising served through Google AdSense once enabled. Advertising is placed in fixed containers labelled "Advertisement", visually separated from the article, and never formatted to resemble headings, links or body text. Advertisers have no influence on topics, wording or recommendations, and the editorial team does not see which ads will appear on a page. Service and legal pages carry no advertising. Full details, including cookies and opt-outs, are in the privacy policy and disclaimer.
Our own services are linked from guides where they are relevant, in a clearly marked panel or a plain sentence. Those links are to our commercial pages and are not editorial recommendations of third parties.
